The night will start with light music in the background as our guests mingle around the pop up boutiques. There will be drinks and catered food served. CureSearch will sell raffle tickets for gift baskets and 100% of the raffle proceeds will go to CureSearch. The runway will start after the raffle tickets are drawn for the gift baskets. The runway show will kick off with some of the children with capes and family members walking for CureSearch, and will also include local businesses, local designers, and local accessory designers. When the runway is finished we will have an after party, in the same space!
CureSearch for Children’s Cancer (http://curesearch.org/About-Us) is a national non-profit foundation that accelerates the search for cures for children’s cancer by driving innovation, transcending research barriers and solving the field’s most challenging problems. We fight every day to make treatments and cures possible for the 43 children diagnosed with cancer each day. We do this in three ways:
The National Cancer Institute only allocates 4% of funding to Children’s Cancer Research, so children really need our help.
CureSearch has dedicated 25 years specifically to fund research targeting childhood cancer. Often donating to research feels like the funds disappear into a black hole with no tangible results. CureSearch has tried to make research more transparent and tangible by providing a chance to read about the research, meet the scientists and see quarterly status reports on their website. CureSearch also tries to accelerate a cure by focusing on research that has the potential to reach pediatric trials within 3-5 years vs. the standard 10-20.
The Dubard Siler Collection Runway Show
The designers of Dubard and Buzz Siler have collaborated together taking Buzz's painting, printing it on fabric, and making a collection from it called, "The Dubard Siler Collection."
Buzz Siler, a self-taught expressionist artist, has spent a lifetime developing his own unmistakable style…combining water-based acrylics with oil-based paints to achieve a “liquid” style that never shows a brush stroke. While he sometimes paints landscapes, animals and abstracts, he prefers to paint women…and he captures their inner character and outer beauty as if he had known each one for a lifetime. From simple black and white, to a broad spectrum of bold colors, Siler’s style is exciting to see on canvas…and now, even more striking on fabric!
“The Dubard Siler Collection was shown on August 13th at Carmella’s Wines! Tom Boehme and Hal Harrison are photographed the event. Peter Stack from IncStack Auctions was the emcee. Models showed jewelry from Anne Bocci Boutique & Gallery and handbags from Consigning Women. The latest collection from Dubard walked. Then the Dubard Siler collection walked. There was a trunk show at the after the ruwnay where the audience got to own a peice of the runway.
Presenting sponsors for the Dubard Siler Collection: Anne Bocci Boutique and Gallery, Consigning Women, and Siler Studios Gallery.
Supporting sponsors: Dave Reed of Coldwell Banker Seal, Tammy Beckley of Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty, Elizabeth Traub, Business Consultant and New Media Strategist, and Bear Creek Creations.
